Tata Motors has shown the inside of the 2026 Tata Tiago facelift before it officially launches on May 28, giving us a detailed look at the changes inside this popular small car. After revealing the outside design earlier, the company has now presented a greatly improved interior that aims to boost both its looks and the features available. Unlike typical updates, the Tiago facelift has undergone a major transformation inside. The biggest change is the addition of two separate screens, one for the infotainment system and the other for the instrument panel. While the infotainment screen looks like the one in the current model, the new fully digital instrument panel is a big upgrade from the old model's outdated display. This new arrangement has resulted in a complete redesign of the dashboard. Tata Motors has shifted from the previous integrated style to a more layered and modern appearance. This is enhanced by updated door panels, a newly included central armrest in the front, and new dual-tone black and grey fabric seats, making the interior feel more high-end.
Another important change is the revamped center console, which is now glossy black and has two wireless charging pads. However, this improvement has reduced the amount of storage space available compared to the earlier version. Additionally, the updated Tiago lacks a rear central armrest and adjustable headrests for the back seats. The interior also features new air conditioning vents and a floating panel for climate controls, but the HVAC buttons are still the same. The familiar two-spoke steering wheel remains unchanged.
It is important to mention that the shown interior is for the gasoline version of the Tiago. The Tiago EV is likely to have a similar setup, with small adjustments to fit electric vehicle needs. On the exterior, the facelift includes new bumpers, updated LED headlights and taillights linked by a different design, and refreshed alloy wheels. While these modifications are mainly for style, they make the car appear more modern overall.
In terms of mechanics, the Tiago is expected to stay the same, continuing with the 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 86 hp and a CNG version that generates 75.5 hp. Both versions will still offer a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT transmission. The prices for the 2026 Tata Tiago facelift are anticipated to rise slightly from the current range of Rs 4.60 lakh to Rs 7.68 lakh (ex-showroom). Once it’s launched, it will keep competing with cars like the Maruti Celerio, Maruti Wagon R, and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.
