The President of United States Donald Trump has announced a national state of emergency on Friday and had freed up $50 billion in the federal funds for the battle against the pandemic of coronavirus as he had vowed to ramp up the testing capacity vastly.

The President Trump has told in a news conference on the White House lawn that he has declared the national emergency in order to unleash the full power of the federal government.

He had added saying that the next eight months would be critical and the virus has to be treated as it has been infecting several people and is also taking lives of several others.

The President Donald Trump has called on all the states in the United States for setting up emergency operation centers and had said that government has been partnering with the private sector in order to vastly increase and to accelerate the capacity of the United States to test for the virus in the midst of the criticism about the lack in the test kits nationwide.

The President had also asked every hospital in the country for activating the plan of emergency preparedness in order to meet the needs of the Americans everywhere.

“We’ll remove or eliminate every obstacle necessary to deliver our people the care that they need and that they’re entitled to. No resource will be spared, nothing whatsoever,” Trump has added.

The administration of Trump has announced earlier Friday that it has been providing almost $1.3 million in funding to the two labs in order to develop the tests which would return the results in about just an hour-- DiaSorin Molecular of California and QIAGEN of Maryland.

An emergency approval had already been given by the Food and Drug Administration of the United States, to the Swiss pharmaceutical giant Roche for a new and much faster test for the coronavirus.

As a result of the approval made by the Roche, the President Trump has said that half a million additional tests are expected to be made available in the early next week and that the details regarding the locations of the test would be announced on Sunday during the night.

He added saying that he hoped that another 1.4 million tests would be available during the next week and that around five million tests would be available within one month.
