Winning a gold was never tough for Neeraj Chopra and there were debates about him entering into the final of the Asian Games 2023. Neeraj Chopra got the second Asian Games title after he threw 88.88 m and this happens to be his fourth 88 plus throw this year. The Olympic Champion from India is flooded with compliments for his performance in the Asian Games this year. The competition started with Chao Tsun from Taipei. Hee fell short of the mark. Then came Abdulrahman Alazemi from Kuwait with 71.41 m.

Neeraj Chopra completed his throw and there was a discussion with the technical officials for ten minutes as the length was not displayed. There was a technical glitch while measuring the device. Neeraj Chopra was puzzled and the next athlete threw before his throw was measured. The officials wanted Neeraj Chopra to redo the throw again. The second throw reported 82.38 m and it cranked up to 84.49 m. The Indian officials were not happy with the lapse. Athletics Federation of India's senior vice-president and former long jumper Anju Bobby George said that a complaint will be filed.
