'Tattoo' it right!

'Tattoos'... these are so tempting... the desire of putting on a Tattoo, might have again arise in you after seeing NityaMenon in her latest flick ‘Ishq’, so did in me… they are so trendy and depict our attitude as well. at the same time, even ‘Tattoo’ing has its own set of pros and corns… it is not that we need to opt out of Tattoos, instead take these precautions and have a happy tattoo;

•    Allergic reactions. Tattoo dyes — especially red, green, yellow and blue dyes — can cause allergic skin reactions, such as an itchy rash at the tattoo site. This can occur even years after you get the tattoo.

•    Skin infections. A skin infection — which might cause redness, swelling, pain and a pus-like drainage — is possible after tattooing.

•    Other skin problems. Sometimes bumps called granulomas form around tattoo ink. Tattooing can also lead to keloids — raised areas caused by an overgrowth of scar tissue.

•    Bloodborne diseases. If the equipment used to create your tattoo is contaminated with infected blood, you can contract various bloodborne diseases — including tetanus, hepatitis B and hepatitis C.

•    MRI complications. Rarely, tattoos or permanent makeup might cause swelling or burning in the affected areas during magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) exams. In some cases, tattoo pigments can interfere with the quality of the image — such as when a person who has permanent eyeliner has an MRI of the eye.

•    So, if we prefer going for ‘Tattoos’, we need to;

•    Opt for single color Tattoo and that is preferable to be black… not much of colored Tattoos at all

•    Better to go for Tattoo under the expert guidance and in a known Saloon. If we are thinking of savings and get the tattoos done at the ‘reasonable’ price, there are a lot of possibilities to get infected with the any or all above mentioned diseases…

•    If we are going for the Tattoos for the first time, let it not be much revealing, it can be just a highlight and somewhere around our leg, rather than on our arm… because, after couple of months, if we are not interested to keep on the same Tattoo, removing it should not be a ‘revealing’ pain again…

•    I know we all are imaginative. So, let us imagine how Tattoo looks on us and what to wear and transform our look in order to carry the Tattoo well. You can call this a virtual make over.

Above all, have this question for yourself… are you really interested to get that Tattoo done or just fickle about your interest… have a proper idea about this, before opting for a Tattoo.
