Unexpected heavy showers in Delhi on Thursday!

On Thursday evening, unexpected heavy showers affected most parts of Delhi while the city recorded 4.3mm rain between 5.30pm and 8.30pm.

In fact, some areas also witnessed a thunderstorm while at the IGI Airport, three flights were diverted and four flights were not allowed to land as the weather was too bad.
Fact-fully, the regional Met centre had predicted this development on March 21. The maximum temperature in Delhi on Thursday was 33.7 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal while the minimum was 16 degrees Celsius, two degrees below normal while Ayanagar recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 13.4 degrees Celsius in the plains of the country.

Moreover, Met centre has predicted that thunder squall accompanied with hailstorm will also occur at one or two places over HP, Uttarakhand, Punjab, north Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, UP and Bihar during the next 24 hours.
