The fifth installment of Terminator franchise is back which has been titled as Terminator Genisys. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Clarke and Emilia Clarke played the main leads in the film that will hit the screens today. We bring you the excerpts of the movie.

Story
Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) is sent back in time by John Connor (Jason Clarke) to protect his mother, Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) from the Terminator. Reese arrives in 1984 as per the original but somehow the timeline gets altered and suddenly Sarah starts looking out for Kyle. They are aided by a version of the Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) who has been watching out for Sarah since an attack on her family by the machines left her orphaned as a child. The rest of the film is how Sarah fights back with the help of Terminator to save the world against Genisys. Watch the movie to know about the rest.
Analysis :
The first half of the film starts with a quick narration about James Cameroon’s original version. Though the bonding has been narrated well enough, the movie fails to grab interest except some breathtaking action sequences. Some of the emotional episodes have been captured well which makes the first one hour not a bad film.
The second one hour of the film takes a different path. The lore is disconnected and rewired, bringing lot of confusion. The terror has not taken the bloody side which could not bring the fear among the audience thus ending up disappointed. The second half of the film is a sure downfall and is completely a misfire. The climax of the movie makes Terminator Genisys even worse.
Performance :
Arnold Schwarzenegger is as usual superb and humorous in the character of Terminator. He has been bold and angry bringing up laughs in his restricted role. Emilia Clarke has been terrific and is the highlight of the film. She has been stunning and takes everyone into a different world with her heart touching performance. Jason Clarke looked superb and he got a challenging role to showcase his performance. Jai Courtney has been decent and the other characters have done their best.
The story of the film has nothing interesting for the makers to produce a sequel. The screenplay along with the narration has been clumsy and lacks interest. The cinematography and the visuals have been good enough. The background score has been decent and the production values have been rich. The director Alan Taylor has taken a staled concept that could not make any difference on screen.
Final Word:
Terminator Genisys is not the film that can mark the comeback of Arnold Schwarzenegger. The movie fails in all the available ways and is a disappointment.
