Sonam Kapoor revealed she is expecting her second child on Thursday, sharing delightful images on Instagram. The Bollywood actress and global style icon displayed her baby bump with the caption, “MOTHER." For her announcement, Sonam drew inspiration from Princess Diana, wearing a bold hot-pink pure wool suit with large padded shoulders and a gently rounded shoulder line. The outfit closely resembles some famous styles previously worn by the late Princess. Shortly after her post, Sonam’s husband, Anand Ahuja, added a playful comment saying, “double trouble." He also wrote in another comment, “Baby ma.. also chicccccc mama!" Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja got married in May 2018 after a long relationship and welcomed their son Vayu in August 2022. Since then, the actress has often shared moments from her journey of motherhood, juggling her glamorous public image with being a loving mom.

In August this year, Sonam wrote a touching birthday message for Vayu when he turned three. “Happy Birthday my baby boy. I wish you remain curious, kind, caring, and sweet. I hope there is always plenty of love, music, and joy around you. Mama loves you to the moon and back and again," she expressed. On the professional side, Sonam Kapoor made her first appearance in Bollywood with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya and later enjoyed success in the industry with films like Raanjhanaa and Neerja. Sonam’s most recent role was in the 2023 thriller ‘Blind,’ which is a remake of the 2011 Korean movie of the same title. Directed by Shome Makhija and produced by Sujoy Ghosh, this film marked Sonam’s comeback after a six-year hiatus following The Zoya Factor.
